A weekend in the Tetons

Last weekend the 23rd and 24th of May Frank Konsella, Andy Dimmen, and I headed up to Wyoming for some skiing on white snow.  I say white snow because the snow in Colorado is, for the most part brown from the insane amount of dust this season.

On Friday, Frank and I left the Carbondale area for the long drive north.  We met Andy in the park and after about 40 extra miles of driving around, we finally found the trailhead in the dark.  The road that we needed was the ONLY road not labeled.  It was 11:30 PM.  All of us had hoped to sleep a little bit, but that just seemed out of the question when we considered we had to row about 4-5 miles in the pitch black (i guess it was a new moon), and then climb almost 6,000 ft.
