First Day of the Season in the Colorado Backcountry

Anton, Dave, Casey, and I headed out to the backcountry today to snag a few turns. I think we we were more than happy with what we found for November!

The Light up high was pretty Incredible today. Light clouds, turning to dark clouds, with just a small band of light at the bottom.

Anton knows how to pose for the camera I think. More good snow...It's November!

The snow was good down to withing about 400 vertical of the car. (We are in feet here, no longer meters.)

I can think of worse ways to start off the season here in Colorado.

The only better thing I can think of would be sluffing ice climbers in East Vail.
