Elks and Beyond -- Jordan White's Traveling, Skiing and Outdoor Adventures

Traveling, Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…

Ice Ice Baby

Colter Hinchcliffe and I decided to jump out of the Elks for a day on an old Classic. Ice Mountain has a route called the Refrigerator Couloir on it, and that was our goal for the day. We didn’t really take any ski pictures as we were shooting some video today. But here are some of the way up. We will have a video together in the next week or so.

The Three Apostles are a sight to see on the way up.

Breaking through treeline in the lower basin. These corn turns would prove to be perfect later.

Colter about halfway up the booter.

Hanging out up top. The views were good, but it was windy enough that we opted to get on with skiing rather than sit around all day.

The Refrigerator. Conditions were really good and we skied the entire pitch in one go. Fun to be sure.
