Tyler and I headed up to North Maroon to do some snowpack observations and to get out for a ski. We skied a couloir that is kind of hidden to the right of the face. Here are some pics.
This is going to be fun!
We skinned a long way up. In fact we skinned above Miner's ski jump because the snow was so deep.
Tyler blazing some deep skin track high on the face.
As soon as we got into the couloir proper it became much easier to make upward progress.
The ski conditions were variable in the couloir.
But they were pretty good down low.
In fact it was downright blower towards the bottom.
