Traveling, Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…

Castle Peak North Face Ski

Riley and I headed up towards Castle on what we knew would be a slightly questionable day as far as weather was concerned, but we were both motivated to get some skiing in, and since Castle is a pretty familiar objective for us, thats what we settled on. Not knowing whether we would ski the east or the north side we were up early. With absolutely no chance of the east side thawing, we dropped north and skied chalky goodness all the way back to the sleds. And as luck would have it, as soon as we made it back to the trailhead, the weather started to clear. Thats Colorado for you.
