I never really thought I would get ski beta from facebook…but alas that’s what happened this time. I noticed that Gabe had climbed Longs peak, so I gave him a call and the idea was born. The homestretch was in, the trough was full of powder, I asked for a vacation day, Caleb doesn’t have to take vacation days…we were going. I slept a total of about an hour before I headed for Floyd Hill from Basalt. Caleb drove from there and I got to sleep a bit (or try at least.) We arrived at the trailhead in time for a 6 AM start, but really everything was fairly north facing..so who cares. The pictures can tell the rest of the story…

Hey man, glad I found you’re blog and glad that you’re still killing it. I’m finally back in Colorado for a short while, and am looking forward to getting back into our mountains. If you’re headed towards the Sangres in any of the coming weeks, I might be interested in skiing with you again.
Oh, and did you see AF beat CSU at sectionals 🙂
