A few weeks ago as we were driving back from Alaska and our Denali expedition, I was really dreading the heat that I knew we would encounter upon arriving back in CO. It’s hard to talk about advantages to heat when I love the snow and the mountains so much, but I guess I’ve gotten motivated to go out on a few outings, and thus…here are some pictures.
The last time I got to play in the snow: Mount Hood.
Camera Tricks by the fire, here Al manages to punch himself in the face.
We had fun with sparklers and the camera on the 4th.
Scott Hanley making his way up Grays peak early in the morning.
Brie and Scotty headed up Brie's first 14er, she made it look easy.
Summit
Flowers are still blooming up high. Grays on the left, Torreys on the right.
Climbing at the Watchtower above the Crystal river. Beda Calhoun and Nate Grinzinger.
Beda making the climbing look fun instead of stressful.
Climbing towards the end of the day makes for walking out to the truck in the dark, but you can't beat enjoying a couple of cold ones down in the natural hot springs.
